Not sure what to say?

May the God of comfort see you and your family through this difficult, and trying time. At times like this we often want to be alone, and while this is ok. Remember the love of family and friends, and don't be afraid to turn to them. Share a funny memory with them to bring a smile to your face, as well as theirs.

Mrs. LEAH CHASE WAS A HUMBLE WOMAN OF CLASS,HONOR AND PERFECTION TO AND FOR US,HER PEOPLE AND THE WORLD. SHE WAS AND WILL REMAIN A LIGHT IN DARK PLACES THAT WILL TEACH AND GIVE ON THROUGH HER LEGACY FOR GENERATIONS TO COME. SLEEP ON ANGELS WING (MOTHER CHASE) FOR YOU WERE BLESSED AND LEFT A BLESSING.

My deepest condolences to the Chase family. I was so fortunate to have moved to N. O. with my husband Brian Mickler back in 1977 and was introduced to Mrs. Chase by Jim Dombrowski, my husband's uncle who was very much involved with the civil rights movement in the 60's. Jim would hold his dinner art party at Dooky Chase restaurant every Dec. I was so fortunate to know Mrs. Chase. We will truly miss her beautiful smile! R.I.P.

To the lovely Chase family, and especially our old Loyola friend Dooky, Maureen and I are honored to have met your Mom at the restaurant, and are surely glad we did, while there was still time. And get this, in 2006 we were in Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts and sure enough there was an article in their local daily newspaper--Leah was raising money for storm victims up there, and at first we were amazed, and then after thinking about it, it was sort of natural for her to help others. We know...
