Chief Acevedo, my deepest sympathy for your loss what a great son & I know your Mom must be smiling down from the heavens because of you. May God Bless you during these difficult times.

Chief Acevedo,
Words are simply not enough to convey the thoughts and prayers to you and your family. How blessed you are to have been by your Mom's side to say one last farewell and know that she is in the arms of Jesus. I met you at a Scout outing this past year (with your son) and am privileged to have heard your words of wisdom and encouragement to our youth. Keep up the good work you are doing for us in Austin.....there are many that truly appreciate your dedication.

Sadden by the news of Mrs. Leida Acevedo's passing. Our prayers of comfort is extended to the entire Acevedo family and friends. Certainly Leida Acevedo was loved very much by her son Art Acevado. May she rest in peace!

Art, so sorry to read about your mother. From experience, I know how difficult it is to lose your mother.
I am a friend of Jerry Adams, who met you at my son Michael's, Special Olympic Sport's banquet. You were so sweet and special to him. I admire you for your work in Austin as our police chief. As a life long Austinite, I recognize how lucky we are to have you.
I am thinking about you at this difficult time, and praying for you and your family.

Sincerely,
Mary...

My deepest condolences to the Chief and family.
