I was fortunate enough to have Mr. Galcher as a teacher at Neptune High School in the 1960s. He brought history to life, walking across the front of the room as the poor farmer from Chad, or many other characters he invented. He fostered my love of history, even to this day. May he Rest In Peace.

He was an excellent teacher, one of my favorites. I am saddened by his passing, but take comfort that his humor survives him. "...sunshine, earthquakes and fires." I can hear him saying that.
