Not sure what to say?

Our sincerest condolences to Cindy and the rest of the family. Lee was wonderful surgeon who took care of my mom and was always there when she needed him. My family and I enjoyed sharing golf stories, beach activities (even the use of his jet ski), medicine and stories of the family. We all will miss him. He was a great person to meet and know.

What a great man, great surgeon, colleague, teacher, and human being. A life well lived. My sincere sympathy to the family.

Dr.Oostendorp was one of the first surgeons I worked with off orientation. He was always so kind and patient! He quickly became my favorite surgeon. I had my father in-law make him a golf sign for his retirement. He teared up when I gave it to him. When he came back to the OR to cover for Dr. Wright, he told me that he thinks of me when he sees it at his cottage. He was the warmest, sweetest man and will be so completely missed!

Sincere sympathy to Cindy and family. I was a classmate of Cindy's at Butterworth School of Nursing. Dr Lee performed surgery on my husband and was nothing if not humble and talented. I will remember Dr Lee with fond memories of his rounding in MICU at Butterworth and with working with him. Another one gone too soon. May God hold Cindy and the family in his Grace and give them Peace only he can provide. Sincerely Diane S Roberts Rexford

You have my deepest sympathy. Lee was a high school classmate. I would see him in the halls of the hospital and shared smiles and hellos. Blessings and prayers.

Dr. Oostendorp was my Cancer Doctor 14 years ago this month! Thanks to him, I am a survivor! He was very caring even saying how sorry he was that I had to have Cancer. He treated me with much kindness, explaining everything and recommended just what was needed for my treatment. I´m so very sorry to learn of his passing! My sincere sympathy to his wife and family. May the memories you have of this wonderful man bring you God´s peace at this difficult time.

I am so sorry to hear this. Leon was a classmate of mine. I remember his lovely sense of humor and his boasting of golfing in every month of the year.

I had the pleasure of working with him at Butterworth....he was a dedicated skilled surgeon who care deeply about his patients.... Eileen Wolters RN
