Not sure what to say?

To the Famiy - Please know that you have our sincere sympathy in the passing of your loved one. Mr. Steele was a kind, patient and caring teacher. May God continue to bless and comfort at this time. Hattie Jeffers Staples

Mr. Steele taught me Biology in the 10th grade. He taught my two sisters, as well. He was always a low key and supportive teacher. I recall him assigning me a speaking role, for one of our Assemblies. I value his instruction, as I do that of all my teachers from Dudley. They challenged and prepared me well for the future. God's blessings on Mr. Steele, and his family.

Mr. Steele was another member of the fine cadre of educators at Dudley High School. He was dedicated to preparing each student for their future. Each of us can attribute our success to his sincere efforts as a decent, caring person and educator. If there were no educators there would be no successful persons.

I am very sorry to learn that Leon died. I remember him as being thoughtful, creative and very kind to me. I am left with fond memories of delightful visits James and I shared with him. With love and support,

Mr. steele was my Home Room and Math Teacher at Dudley High School (Greensboro, NC). I was motivated and entered the Education Arena. He was Gentleman and Scholar. My Prayers and Thoughts are with you. "Be Still My Soul, The Lord Is On Thy Side.
