Not sure what to say?

Leonard was as fine a man as I have ever had the honor to meet. He taught me about reloading and gunsmithing and many other things. He loved the art of conversation, and always found time to listen to others. I never heard a cross word from him. I will always have the greatest respect for him, and many fond memories from my days in Thorne Bay. I am a better person for having known him. Rest in peacemy friend.

My husband John Barber and I met Leonard and Alice while prospecting for gold in Happy Camp, California. We high banked and metal detected together as well as enjoyed group activities with the club 49ners. Then when they retired and moved to Quartzsite, AZ we were neighbors at the RV park and continued to metal detect as well as explore other desert activities. We enjoyed spending time with Leonard and Alice and will miss the warm charm that is uniquely Leonard.
