Leonard G. Schifrin

Len always impressed me as a beautifully balanced personality: extremely smart and accomplished, and also grounded, steady, comfortable with himself, and deeply humane. I did not know he had founded a civil rights organization in Williamsburg, but that fits. He made the world better. I'm very glad he and Karen met (I remember that!) and went on to have so many wonderful years together.
