Dr. Koss was my moms mentor in cytopathology in the late fifties and sixties.

Her name was Dr. Luba Lucy Feiner.

He was like an uncle when I was young. He was very funny and as dry as his martinis.

He and his wife Lydia were frequent guests at my parents home where polish was spoken intermixed with French and English .

Lydia was elegant ,very lively and sweet.

As a resident in internal medicine, I was privileged to be his student at...

As he said, "I'm a doctor first, a pathologist 2nd, and lastly, a cytopathologist".
He was a great guy.
