Lera Odell CRUM

Roanoke Valley, Virginia

Guest Book

Not sure what to say?

Sandy, Kim & Denise,
I was so sad to hear of Mrs. Crum's passing, sorry I missed the visitation but I just learned of it this morning.
I enjoyed visiting with her whenever I would go with Anna to her house and later when I would visit Anna at their house. She was a great lady.

So sorry for your loss. Lera and Luke were the best neighbors anyone could ever have.....we had wonderful times together.

Lera and Luke were always kind to me as a kid growing up in the neighborhood. I could always run up the road and into the finished basement of their house where they always statyed. She always had a smile and an ice cream sandwich in the freezer for me or a little bottle of coke. We would sit and chat about what I am sure was meaningless stuff, but never once did she make me feel like she wanted me to go. She had a long life indeed and those of us who knew her over the years were blessed.

I'm sorry for your loss, but rest assured
your Mom and Grandmother is in a much better place.
I worked with Anna for several years at
Franklin Grocery & Grain and recall her
love and many kind remarks about her
Mom and Dad. I also had the privilege of
knowing "Luke and Lera" personally. They
were neighbors and best friends to my sister, Barbara for around 50 years.
God bless you all.
