Not sure what to say?

I was honored to have known and worked with Dr. Bodnar. He was an excellent role model as a physician and gave so much of his time to the Sister Maura Brannick (Chapin St.) Clinic. Les was a close friend of my stepfather, Gene O'Neill. We will be praying for all of you. Mark and Madeline (Couture)Lewis

Dr.Bodnar treated me for many years during the 50s and 60s after contracting polio. I owe so much to him and his skill. I wrote him a few years ago and he responded with some very kind words. After reading the book about his youth I respected him even more. God bless and keep his family and rest his soul. With much thanks and respect.

Very sorry to hear about Dr. Bodnar's passing. I know that my Dad always treasured his friendship as did the rest our family with the Bodnar family. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I first met Dr. Bodnar as a student athletic trainer at the University of Notre Dame in 1977. He deserves much of the credit for any of the professional success I have experienced since. He was a true gentleman. One of my favorite memories is of driving him around New Orleans prior to the 1981 Sugar Bowl and hearing of his experiences as a medical resident in New Orleans more than 30 years before. After my graduation from Notre Dame, any time I encountered Dr. Bodnar thereafter at a medical...

I offer you my heartfelt sympathy in your loss. I first met Dr. Bodnar when I was a student at Notre Dame back in the '70s and injured myself working at the North Dining Hall. He was my orthopedic doctor after graduation, and my mother, grandmother, and aunt also had the privilege of having him as their physician. He was a kind man and he will be missed by many people. I used to see him working out at the former Pro Health Club downtown, and he always kept in shape, and encouraged everyone to...

My heart felt sympathies to Family and Friends.May the God of all Comfort, Comfort you. 2Corth.1:3,4. P.F.

In the mid-1950's Dr. Les Bodnar hired me first as his secretary and then moved me to the position of his nurse/assistant and trained me to x-ray, remove sutures, casts, etc. and assist him in the application of these treatments. He served all, rich or poor, with the same loving quality care. He was a most amazing man and he was my spiritual mentor with his kindness and caring towards all people. I always have said, "He walked on water, in my estimation"

Dr. Bodnar was my first encounter with an Ortho Surgeon. Diagnosed me with Osgood Schlatter's Disease, twice. Then I tore up my ankle and he did a very sophisticated surgery that to my knowledge had never been done. That was over 50 years ago and it still works. Several ortho problems later and the current surgeons still are impressed with the genius of Dr. Bodnar's work. Thank you for allowing me to share.

My heart felt sympathies to the Bodnar family.
I first met Dr. Bodnar with Gene Pazkeit as they attended to an injured ND athlete a early Boston College-Notre Dame meeting at Schaefer Stadium in Foxboro, Ma in the mid 70's. As I was the Assistant Athletic Trainer with the Patriots at the time. My duty the evening was a liason between BC-ND staffs. BC had the Patriots locker room and ND had the visitors. They ND locker room was arranged with complete class and organization throughout....
