Not sure what to say?

Received this sweet reminder of one of my favorite people. His impact in my life was tremendous. He was my hero and an example to me of great leadership. I remember walking into the church late one evening and seeing his door partially open. He was there, alone, and I could tell he was bearing the weight of the world. He did so without complaint and while lifting the rest of us. I will always be grateful for him.

Dad, you could have been a movie star or an opera singer, but instead you chose to be Marilynn's husband, our father, and a disciple of Christ. And thus the world's loss was the world's gain. Now you really ARE in Lew-land and the sky really IS blue all of the time and there is beauty and love everywhere. I never could figure out how you managed that every day, but what an example you have been and, yes, I miss you deeply and wish I could hear you sing again. I can't seem to find that...

Lew is a dear friend. I worked for him at Farr Ice Cream and later we worked together at the LDS hospital. He was always warm, friendly and fun. And so talented. Water fights in the back room or locking the girls in the freezer were not above him! He either joined in or looked the other way. Annual trips to Ogden for a cone at the factory and a swim in that beautiful pool up the canyon were so much fun. Lew blessed my life and so many others. We will miss him too.

I didn't know Lewis, I DO KNOW tha this world is a "FARR" better place because of the children that he & the children's mother brought into his world. Great job!!!!! Now take your rightful place our Savior has prepared for the honorable & faithful

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. It is always hard to part with a loved one. However, It is wonderful to know that they are with loved ones on the other side. Love, Sarah Beth

I worked at FARR BETTER ICE CREAM in Salt Lake when I was in high school and at the U. The staff was made up by some of the finest people I have ever known. Our boss Lew Farr was my friend and mentor. He was one of the most pleasant, helpful and understanding people I have worked for. The lessons I learned from him have stayed with me through my life. I left Salt Lake many years ago, but still think fondly of Lew and my time dipping ice cream cones.
I pass on my very best to you...

I feel very privileged to know Lew as a youth, and have very fond memories of him. He is one of the reasons I am endeared to both the church and singing. I would try to sit near him during church to hear his wonderful voice, and it made me want to learn how to sing. When I had rough spots as a youth singing is what kept me grounded, and singing later took me to diverse places and experiences, and I owe a lot of that to him. I appreciated him very much and everything he was. He will be missed,...

I will miss Lewis so much! He was almost always cheerful and making jokes whenever I came to see him and my mother. He loved singing barbershop type duets with my mom for us and anyone else who visited them! He never complained or seemed grumpy even during the last few weeks when I knew he wasn't feeling very well. He always paid me a compliment whenever I saw him and I know he helped my mother by telling her how wonderful she is frequently. I truly believe in my heart that Heavenly...

Lewis wasn't his usual happy self the last couple of times we were together. I know he is happy now and singing again with his loved ones in heaven. He is really missed by all of us.
