McClellanville: Lillian Bonner Jamieson, 87, widow of William “Jerry” Jamieson, died Friday, February 4, 2011, at Hospice Center in Mt. Pleasant. Mrs. Jamieson was born on May 20, 1923 in McClellanville, the beloved daughter of Walter Morse Bonner and Edith Lofton Bonner. She was educated at Erskine College and worked for the federal government as a mathematician. Mrs. Jamieson spent the majority of her career at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center. Surviving are: a son, James Jamieson (Peggy) of Georgetown; two daughters, Kathleen Hume (Charles) of King George, Va. and Ellen Byrd (Edward) of Mt. Pleasant; a brother, Dr. Walter Bonner of McClellanville; seven grandchildren, William, Julie, Brian, James, Mary, Claire and Beth; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband of 65 years who died in December, Mrs. Jamieson was predeceased by a brother, Henry E. Bonner. Sign a guestbook at: www.mayerfuneralhome.com.
