I just found a lettet from Maj General Jones to my father fir his promotion

I was honored to serve with Linc. He was leader, mentor, and great friend. We will all miss him.

Gen Linc Jones-Husband, father,leader, mentor,friend and always a decent person. We share your loss and feel your pain but soon the pain will be replaced by the warmth of wonderful memories.In each of us lives a lesson that was taught by your husband and it is the thread that binds us together. He will be missed by many.God will be with you and your family as you travel this time of loss.

I will miss The General very much. I have known this fine gentleman for the past 50 years, we shared many hours together at Bordentown Military Institute and I considered him a great friend. This is rare for a First Sergeant and a General Officer. I will always keep him and his lovely family in my thoughts and prayers. I remember Major General Jones from the time he was stationed at the Bordentown Military Institute in Bordentown, NJ. I was secretary there and I could tell that he was a gentleman who deserved and received respect. Later, I was working at Rider University when he came to speak to some of the students there.
