To Linda's family - I'm am so sorry to hear of her passing. She and I did a little work together tracing the Fay family, but I was on the other side, the Barrow family. It was so fun to work with her. Each discovery was our "Eureka" when we got the family puzzle pieces to fit. It was just recently when I wanted to tell her more, that I found that she had passed. I am so sorry for your loss.

It was nearly twenty years ago now that Linda found me from an advertisement I placed in the Minneapolis Star Tribune newspaper seeking an assistant in my tax accounting practice. "Someone with an inquisitive mind, multiple language ability, and an interest in accounting and taxation" was what it said. We worked in downtown Minneapolis together for nearly five years during which time, with Linda's help, I was able to complete graduate school and law school and Linda, with my help,...

Linda was an incredible person and probably the nicest person I had the privilege to meet. I hope you're well where you are, Minerva.

We are so grateful for the all the work Linda did in helping us to connect with our Fay families of origin. Her website and postings have helped us know who we are and where we came from. May Linda's family know God's comfort and may Linda rest in the mercy in of God now and always,

Linda was a remarkable person - she was very helpful to me to establish the link between the Iowa Fays and the young lad getting off the Speedwell in 1656. I will always remember her. I heard about this from my sister and brother-in-law, Florence and Weston Cram. I send my condolences.
May Linda rest in peace,

Words are not enough to describe the impact Linda has had on me as a person..Having known her for over a decade, her laugh, wisdom and vision are but a few things I will miss. She gave of herself unselfishly and the stars will welcome a bright star to guide the world tonite. My deepest sympathies to her daughters, who I feel I know through her countless words of pride and her wonderful husband, who she loved oh so much.
Smoke and Prayers go up from the Northland to the family

I connected with Linda long ago via the internet. We grew to be good friends. We shared many things concerning our children and families. She was a great person and I appreciated her intelligence and at times her bluntness when we had discussions. My family and I visited her once when we were looking at colleges for our son and it was a great time. She has touched many lives and I will keep her family in my thoughts.
