Linda Marcus McGowan

MCGOWAN, Linda Marcus, 75, of Midlothian, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, September 10, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Alice Marcus; brother, Michael Marcus. She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Col. James D. McGowan Jr. (Ret); children, Kristy Davidson (Eric), Nicole Bogue, Jay Lawson (Mechelle), Jill Crowder (John) and David McGowan; grandchildren, Connor and Brady Davidson, Whitley and Landen Bogue, Alec and Andrea Knepp, Michael, Rachel, Courtney, Natalie and Anna Crowder; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Pete (Carolyn), Larry and Greg (Sherry); uncle, Charles (Parris); and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members. Linda was a wife, mother and "Mimi" to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with them and loved them beyond measure. Linda graduated Coeburn High School in 1965 and Clinch Valley College (University of Virginia's College at Wise). A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, September 25, 2022 at Woody Funeral Home - Huguenot Chapel. A private interment is scheduled in Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia.
