Happy Mother's Day Mom,
Little did I know that you would remain in my heart from a distance so soon. I miss your sweet hugs and kind, encouraging words. Meredith wishes she could climb a big ladder to come and see you in heaven. We have such wonderful memories of our times together and I cherish that you will forever remain my best friend. The best that I can accomplish in my life is be the kind of mother to Meredith that you were to me. That will be my measure of success. Dad and I are doing our best being without you since that is how we know you would want us to be, but we realize every day the loss of the special things you did and your unique style that cannot be duplicated. I am grateful that God made you as my mom. With love, Donna XO

Donna,
One of my first memories of your family is babysitting you when you were just six years old while my mom was doing your mom's hair. You were the pretty and active little girl that I was entertaining for the afternoon. I was just 14 at the time but your mom's kindness towards others and love for you permeated, even then. She adored you and her patience is one that all of us moms can emulate. The last time I saw your mom she showed me pictures of Meredith. The pride and love shown as she beamed when she talked about the granddaughter she so enjoyed.
I am so sorry for your loss. May you and your family feel Christ's love and strength during this difficult time.

Linda Morris, our next-door neighbor, was a lovely, gentle person. Our first memories of Linda and Dave go back over 30 years when their dog “Princess” and our dog “Puppy” became buddies and romped the neighborhood together. Puppy always stopped by for a treat from Linda.
Also, we remember her love of watching the wildlife in our backyards. We traded stories about the deer, foxes, birds, and squirrels and what they were up to.
Lately we remember how Linda loved her granddaughter Meredith and the cute stories about their times together.
We will miss her.

Linda was a dear, dear, loving lady.
I always enjoyed her smile and visiting with her at Olivet Episcopal Church.
I was very sad to hear of her loss.

Gentle spirit, firm faith, kind and loving heart you have, dear Linda. They find their true home before the throne of Christ. May this knowledge comfort and sustain those who have loved you here, in the hope of meeting again in that place where all hurts are healed. Rest in peace.

Dave,
We have known you and Linda for many years and I thank you for being a part of our lives. She was always smiling and cheerful every time I walked into her office at Morris Industries. The first thing she would ask was about our children and the family. She was always caring and very thoughtful and is truly missed by everyone. Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Donna and family, my sincere thoughts are with you at this time. Ecclesiastes 3:4 let's us know that there is a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance – let us find comfort in this. John 14:1-4, 27 NIV goes on to tell us “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God]; believe also in me. My Father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.” Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. With this said, I pray that you and your love ones find comfort in God's word and know that He prepares a special place for His children. Amen

Donna, when both my grandmothers past, my mom and dad shared with me that no matter how old you are, it is difficult to lose your Mom.
You two - quite the pair. I remember how much fun we had going out with the two of us and our two Moms. That was fun! It's memories like these that I hope will soon fill your heart and mind --the wonderful times you shared together laughing until tears were streaming down your faces. Your Mom was a gem! And I am so sorry for both your dad and you. Cherish him! And continue to be there for each other. Love you gal. - Diane (and Mitchell and Steve)
