Loving Wife, Mother, Sister & Friend

Mrs. Linda (Baltrush) Pilla Stokes, passed away after a long illness on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at Connecticut Hospice. She was the wife of Robert T. Stokes, and the widow of Antonio Pilla.

Linda was born in Waterbury on October 14, 1948, daughter of the late Anthony and Carmella (Valerio) Baltrush. She worked for Webster Bank until 2009.

Linda lived life to the fullest, and was always there to help others. She brought joy to all the lives she touched. She loved cooking, traveling, and being with her friends and family. One of her favorite places to visit was the casino in Atlantic City. She will be remembered for her laugher, kindness, and the love for all the lives she touched. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends, but will be remembered in our hearts forever.

Besides her husband Robert, Linda leaves her daughter, Jenni Pilla-Wood and her husband Raymond of Waterbury, a sister, Ann Murphy of Wolcott, a step-daughter, Donna Stokes of Farmington, and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased in death by her daughter, Tina Pilla and a grandson, Antonio S. Pilla.

Funeral will be held Friday, 8:30 a.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church for a Mass at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Calling hour will be held Friday morning, 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
