LINDA WOJTOWICZ Obituary
passed away peacefully at age sixty-one on November 10, 2017 at her home in Manhattan surrounded by her beloved partner, Ilene Borden and her treasured Maisie. Linda was born in Jersey City to Verna and the late John Wojtowicz. After graduating from St. Dominicks Academy she continued her studies with a BS in Biology at Jersey City State College. Later on she pursued her dreams by getting her Nursing degree from Columbia University and completed her Family Nurse Practitioner studies getting an MS degree at Pace University. Her love of science, medicine and nursing benefited so many as she practiced for 20 years at New York Hospital in a profession that she loved and one in which she excelled. She brought great kindness and empathy to all of her patients and was a trusted and respected mentor and colleague to many. Linda is survived by her beloved partner of twenty-three years, Ilene and Little Mama -- Maisie. She is also survived by her mother, Verna Wojtowicz and devoted lifelong friend Robert Ferguson. Her family and many friends will miss her loving presence in their lives. Visitation on Monday, November 13th, from 3-8pm at Frank E. Campbell "The Funeral Chapel," Madison Ave at 81st St, New York City.

Linda was a wonderful woman and enjoyed an amazing life. She lived each day to its fullest and always enjoyed special times with her loving family and wonderful friends, and she was an inspiration to so many people. She will always be a special part of our lives. Rest in peace, Linda.

Hello, I never met Linda but I heard great things about her about 18 years ago. My husband and I purchased Mr. & Mrs. Wojtowicz' home in Jersey City. I will always remember how nice they were to us. When we looked at the home, I remember them speaking lovingly about their daughter, Linda. Now I can't articulate what they use to call her, but I know it meant "their one and only". I say that with a smile. Just the other day someone rode by our home and stopped their car in front to take a picture just as my husband was checking the mail. I heard him from inside saying "hello..hello can I help you. He then said..oh ok". He smiled when he told me that the person was a friend of Mr. Wojtowicz and wanted to take a picture of the house. I understand why now. God works in mysterious ways. I just happened to see the name of Linda Wojtowicz in the obituary..today and I knew it had to be the former home owner's daughter.
