WOODRICH, Linda K. (Peterson) - Of Swartz Creek, age 72, died Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at her residence.



 



Funeral service will be held 1pm Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Pastor Todd Meece officiating.



  


Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.



 



Contributions may be directed to the Special Olympics.



 



Visitation 11am-8pm Friday and 10am Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.



 



Linda was born in Flint on June 3, 1943, the daughter of the late Edwin and Lila Peterson. Linda graduated from Kearsley High School, Class of 1961. She was active in organizing her class reunions. She enjoyed going to the casinos, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. Linda was a manager at Bueches Food World for several years before retiring to babysit her great-grandchildren.



 



Surviving are daughter Candi and husband David Buzza of Seminole, Florida;



 



3 grandchildren, Danielle and husband Walter Burnett of Linden, Barry and wife Jennifer Wascher of Grand Blanc and Jenna and husband Ryan Poulos of Grand Blanc;



 



6 great-grandchildren, Austin Wascher, Gavin Poulos, Barry Wascher, Amelia Burnett, Brendon Wascher and Aubrey Wascher;



 



3 step-grandchildren, Kristina Buzza, Andrea and husband Lynn Brown and Amy and husband Ben Tennant;



 



5 step-great-grandchildren, Elwood Tennant, Gabriel Brown, Milly, Kate, and James Tennant;



 



several nieces and nephews.



 



She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Woodrich, son Glen Mince, and brother Joel Peterson, step-great-grandson, Aiden Tennant.

My deepest condolences to your family. Linda and cousin Sandy are together and laughing it up, no coincidence they were so close in life and now in death. I was always touched every Christmas when I received her holiday card. RIP dear cousin.
