Not sure what to say?

It seems like yesterday that I sat with Lisa on the steps of bunk 3 at Camp Modin. Her warmth, her quick mind and her contagious smile will remain with me always. I am deeply saddened by her loss. I weep for her family.

Please accept my deepest sympathies.

I met Lisa many years ago at La Leche and she was part of a wonderful support system that encouraged me to parent from the heart. I still remember the tasty bean & broccoli burritos she brought for my family when I had my second child (who is now almost 16!). I was fortunate enough to run into Lisa in Mt. Kisco about 6 month ago. After a moment, we recognized one another and started into a lively talk as if no time had passed. I will remember her energy, her smile, and her ability to focus on...

Temple Israel of Putnam Valley mourns the tragic death of our beloved member Lisa Heyman and extends its profound sympathy to her husband Larry, her daughters Roxanne and Ruby and her entire family. She will be missed in so many ways because she embodied the "can do" attitude that inspired all of us to tackle the important but tough challenges that our Temple faced and overcome them. We pray that Lisa's memory will be a blessing to all those who loved her.

Thank you for sharing your mother, your wife, your friend with us...
Lisa's spirit lives on in all of us...
I will never, ever forget her and the impact she has had on my life...
With deepest condolences...

In recent years we had not spoken as often but she always has remained in my heart. She was a terrific woman, loving and caring. The last time we spoke she was gushing about her family and you could hear the love!! My deepest condolences go to Larry and her children, Marvin, Barbara, Jon, Ben and Ruthie. ...

I knew Lisa from my years at Modin.
I will always remmember her for her
warm smile, humor and love of her family and friends. My deepest sympathy to Larry and all of the Heyman family.

I have had the privilege of knowing the Heyman family since the 1960's through Camp Modin. For a short time in the late 70's I became close to Lisa as a very young woman. Jon has been one of my closest friends since the late 1970's and we still return each fall to Maine and Camp Modin - a place that will always be a significant part of our lives. I recently said to Jon that what I will remember most fondly about Lisa from those days is that she had a big heart and a good heart. From all...
