Lloyd K. Mays

Graveside service for Lloyd K. Mays, age 97, was 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2015 in Greenhill Cemetery. He passed away February 23, 2015 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. Mr. Mays proudly served his country as a soldier in the United States Army, retiring as a Master Sergeant. He served in WWII and Korea and was awarded a Purple Heart, two Presidential Citations, and a Bronze Star for Valor. He is preceded in death by his wife, Della B. Mays. He is survived by his daughters, Sharon M. Wilson (Pat) and Deborah M. Stamps; 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
