Lois Westerfield was a heroine in her career and a heroine in the way she lived her life. I feel lucky that Lois pulled me into her very large circle of friends. I met lovely Lois through my job at Morton's Gourmet Market here in Sarasota many years ago when she still was driving that big ol' wonderful Caddy......when she didn't get out as often, I'd shop for her and have a weekly girl's lunch or dinner visit with she and her beloved Teddy dog. I'd bring along my weiner dog Lucy, and we'd always comment on how lucky and happy we were when we all were together with our dog families. This went on for years.
