Aunt Loraine was a great friend to me, especially when I was attending the College of William and Mary - she was the closest relative to campus and we had a few "sleepovers" at her home, more than a few pints of mint-chip ice cream, and a lot of laughs. She is one of the amazing Powell sisters, and will be missed.

I have many fond memories of Loraine. I met her when we volunteered together at RMH. We always could find something to laugh about and always enjoyed going to lunch or to a movie. We made a point to celebrate our birthdays together since they were just a day apart. We'd go to lunch and always splurge and get dessert. She had such courage as I remember driving her for her radation treatment on Christmas Eve when she received treatments for her pharyngeal cancer. She strutted across the parking...
