I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Matthews. He will be missed, I will miss coming home to church and not seeing his smile and always warm embrace.
I will always remember him marching with the boy scouts he is just what the young men of this generation need. I love you Mr. Matthews

"Growing up, Mr. Matthews was a major influence to me and helped me to become the man I am today. He always treated me with respect, was interested in what I did, and showed me (and others) what the correct way was in carrying yourself as a man. I saw the care he had not only for his own family, but for other people, particularly young boys who didn't have that male family mentor. It was a blessing to have him in my life. My condolences go out to the family. "
