Not sure what to say?

We are very saddened for your loss of Lori Kay. Please know that your family is in our thoughts & prayers.

I wanted very much to come to Lori's Memorial Service today, but am scared to drive on the ice covered roads. The City of Charleston Tennis Division staff and patrons thought the world of Lori and will really miss her. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.

'Met this beautiful person 2 times while playing at Bees Landing- naturally kind, no arrogance in her bone and a very hard worker. Biggest regret is we didn't get to know her long enough. No matter, my son and I will always treasure the short time we know of her. Family and friends, I empathize with you. We need a billion more people like her to make this world peaceful and harmonious at all times. At least I'm not worried as to where she goes, I worry when she's gone. Heaven is a sure thing...

I did not know Lori very well. She almost was on a tennis team that I captain a couple of years ago, but unfortunately, due to her school schedule, she was not able to. I saw her occasionally at Maybank Tennis Center, where we both played. Last summer my 7 year old granddaughter from WA state took part in the tennis camp at Maybank, and Lori was one of her teachers. Speaking as the most recent grad of the Physical Education department she led, I can say that she will be greatly missed by those she gave the great gift of her knowledge and experience to those she taught. She was a beloved mentor and teacher to all her students.

Lori was delightful. She was on my tennis team several years ago. She will be sorely missed.

Lori and I dated in high school 40 years ago. I find it difficult to believe she is gone. My condolences to her mother and brothers as well as all of her friends as I know she will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear of Lori's passing. She was a doll. I had the honor of working alongside Lori as we taught Tennis Camp, Courting Kids and after school tennis clinics together. Lori was wonderful with the children. Everybody loved her. She was kind, respectful, generous of heart and always had a smile on. She truly touched my life with her kindness. She was a truly beautiful person inside and out. She touched the lives of all people that she met. She was also an extremely hard worker. She...
