Not sure what to say?

I've heard so many wonderful things about Grandpa Loyd and wish that I and his new great-granddaughter Marigny could've met him. He will be deeply missed.

A man who was truly blessed with friends and family that loved and respected him ,he had a good heart, was kind, caring and considerate,he taught me just about everything i know about propagating trees and shrubs ,and I am proud to have known him.Rest in Peace buddy,I know the good Lord is watching over you . :)

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

William and I had many nice visits with Dad the past few years. A kind man indeed! Loved his "chicken dumplings" I will miss our telephone chats. Rest in Peace Dad.

Eldon and I are so sad that we are out of state during this time. Uncle Loyd was a very special person. Did all of you know that one of his first jobs on Long Island, New York was delivering fresh breads for Brown Brothers Bakery and one of his every week deliveries was to Dr. Albert Einstien. No joke. This was before the Manhattan Project. Uncle Loyd will be missed by many. He was my mothers favorite person in the world. Momma was his sister.

Mr. Settlemyre was a great man, knew his horticulture and was a great negotiator with my mom. I always enjoyed a visit with him and my mom Barbara Oliver when Mother's day came and she and I would go shopping for new flowering shrubs and trees. He always knew the details of each variety and loved and talked fondly of his spouse and children. A real gentleman and family man. Remember the good times.

In Christ's care for your family,
Tim Ingold
