Not sure what to say?

I just learned of Lucien's passing last week. I knew him as "Luke" when we were watch partners on the Tektite 2 project in the USVI. I lost touch with Luke soon after the project and only reestablished contact via facebook a couple of years ago. As watch partners we were pretty much together 24/7 and I could not have had a better companion. I very much regret that we were so late in reestablishing contact. From the obituaries I have read it is clear that Luke lived a very full and happy life...

I just found out about Luke's passing, and I wish to extend my condolences and best wishes to his family and friends. Luke and I served together as Behavior Observers on Project Tektite II in the spring and summer of 1970. We knew each other during a special time for all us students from UT Austin, on St. John, V.I. He is missed but not forgotten.

DEAR LILLY AND DINA....JUST YESTERDAY I FOUND OUT THE SAD NEWS ABOUT MY FRIEND OF 40 YEARS LUCIEN.....HE WAS MY FIRST PALM BEACH FRIEND.....WHEN HE CAME TO TABOO AND I WAS WORKING AT THE DOOR....HE ASKED IF HE COULD COME IN AND TAKE SOME PHOTOS ,OF COURSE I SAID YES ,AND THEN HE CAME EVERY NIGHT....THEN HE AND I WOULD HEAD DOWN TO THE LOGGIA OR OHARAS AND THEN TO THE TAP ROOM IN WEST PALM ....SOMETIMES NANDOS....OR THE CHINESE PLACE WHICH WAS WHERE CAFE EUROPE IS TODAY....THEN HE MADE ME THE...

A good friend and a fun guy. I have fond meemories of spending summer days hanging with Luke and making the rounds in his gold Barracuda in Austin.

It does not matter how many years or miles have separated us, it only takes a fleeting moment to go back in our minds to the days of our youth and recall times and memories that we all shared. Knowing that Luke has passed from this life saddens me greatly and reminds me once again of my own mortality. My prayer is that God will give you perfect peace during this time of loss. Know that Luke was never forgotten, and was always remembered fondly by those of us from Travis High School in...

I was so sad to hear that Luke passed away. He went to Travis HS with me in Austin, TX and was always so very nice. My sympathies to his family and friends.

How sad it was today when I was informed of Luke's passing. So many of us here in Austin have very fond memories of Luke as a child and as a young man. He was kind, friendly, and had a caring soul. Luke will be remembered with respect and affection. I wish to express my sympathies to you and hope that you will find comfort in wonderful memories.

Dear Lily, Dina and Family,
Those we hold most dear never truly leave us... they live on in the kindnesses they showed, the comfort they shared, and the love they brought into our lives.
We will truly miss working together on many events.
Sharing in your sadness.

Our hearts go out to Lucien's family and colleagues. He was one of a kind - at JDRF, we simply adored working with him. He was a wonderful photographer and good person. He will be greatly missed.
