GARNEAU, Lucille
(nee Woods)
Passed away on December 22, 2015 at the age of 92. Daughter of the late Dr. Joseph Woods and the late Laura Bouchard. She leaves in sorrow her beloved husband Pierre Garneau, her loving children Françoise (Kenneth) Hubley, Suzanne (Jean-Marc) Chénier and Roger (Lucy) Garneau. Adored grandmother of Patrick (Sarah), Joanne (Don), Rachelle (Roger), Alain (Vanessa), Bernard (Laura) and Pierre and the great-grandmother of Dania, Hugo, Hayden, Madeleine and Kendall. She also leaves many family members and friends. Mrs. Garneau was a proud volunteer for more than 37 years and a recipient of the Governor General's academic medal in 1945, as a graduate of the University of Ottawa. Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday December 29, 2015 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home (180 Montreal Road, Ottawa). A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday December 30, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Sacré-Cœur Church (591 Cumberland Street, Ottawa). The family will receive condolences at 10 a.m., prior to the service. Thank you to Dr. R. Eaton for his invaluable expertise and care. In Memory of Mrs. Garneau, donations can be made to the Bruyère Foundation ([email protected]).
