Dear Connie, Beth, Anne, Cort and Charlie Michael,

My thoughts are with all of you during this difficult time.

My wife Sandi and I send our condolences to all the family of LD Shank. He indeed will be missed. I met LD when I first came to Delaware -- and Kent County -- early in 1975. Although we never had occasion from our work to become "inner circle" close, we always appreciated and valued each other, and felt a sense of connection. LD was a great guy. We'll pray for the family for "the Peace that passeth understanding!"
