My deepest sympathy goes out to the family. I am so grateful to Lydia for encouraging me to apply for a job with the City of New Orleans. She helped me to get hired in the same office with her, taught me the good and bad of the city government and really looked out for me. I've worked in city government for 27 years now. Thank you Lydia for your caring and kind spirit. I will remember your sense of humor and laughter. May God bless and keep you all.

Ms. Lydia, thank you for your love, kindness, and generosity. I will always remember how you made me feel welcomed and at home. And I will also remember your amazing children, Stanley and Pia. You are all part of special and endearing memories from my childhood and I will always treasure our time together. May your beautiful spirit rest in peace. Love Always, Butler
