Gordie was one of my proctors at Deerfield last year, my first year there. He was a wonderful proctor, always there for us when we needed him, always funny, always kind. I'm an only child, and Gordie was the big brother I wish I'd had. I think the largest tragedy of Gordie's death is that more people won't have what I was lucky enough to have - the chance to know him.

I knew Gordie through family before Deerfield, but vibrance of his life was not apparent until I came to Deerfield. Everyone has wonderful Gordie stories and I will never forget when he set me up with a date for a dance without me even asking because he knew I didnt have one. This was the kind of Gordie that the entire world loved, and misses.

not one minute, not one day goes by without thinking of gordie. he was perhaps one of the most talented, finest young men god has ever put on this earth. his smile, enthusiasm, his love has touched everyone who ever met him. only god knows why such a special person has left us. we grieve, and i pray that his family receives the love and peace that only god can grant. leslie, michael, lily, lynn and claire, god be with you.

Although I never met Gordie personally, my thoughts and prayers are with him, his family, and his friends. I heard so many wonderful things about him through my good friend Carolyn who attended Deerfield Academy with him. He will truly be missed. GOD BLESS.

While I did not know Gordie, I wanted to extend my deepest sympathies. I attended the candle light vigil that was held for him on campus. He sounded like such a wonderful and respected person. My heart goes out to your family.

To Family and Friends,
I am so very sorry for your loss. It breaks my heart when a young, vibrant life is taken so tragically. I know not much will comfort you in this time of need. But, simply remember that Gordie is sitting right next to God. Waiting for that wonderful reunion, when we will all meet again. And then may I have the privilage to meet him and experiance the happiness that his family and friends were blessed with. My family has also recently lost a cherished young...

Although I never knew Gordie very well, I was lucky enough to share three years at Deerfield with him. His talent and enthusiasm were respected and enjoyed by all. I will always remember his smile and the laughter and joy that he brought to everyone at our school. My prayers go out to Gordie's family. Gordie, you are forever in our hearts.
