Brick-Meger Funeral Home Obituary

Lynn M. Sjomeling, age 62, of Medford, died March 21, 2017, at St Lucas Care Center in Faribault. Lynn Marie Sjomeling was born to Lawrence and Dorothy (Stepanek) Lee in Owatonna. She attended Medford Public Schools and Faribault Technical Institute. Lynn married Junior Sjomeling and they later divorced. Lynn was an avid pro sports fan and a fierce card player. Lynn endured severe physical pain since childhood yet remained upbeat, no doubt due to her strong faith. Lynn was employed in office support by Jobs Plus of Waseca for over 20 years. She truly valued the friendship of her coworkers and the consumers there. Lynn is survived by son, Wade; brothers, Jerry Lee and Brian (Mary) Lee; sisters, Cheryl (Mark) Bjoraker and Valerie (Dean) Elzen; and several nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by all. Lynn was preceded in death by her father and mother; sister, Ginny Selthun; brother-in-law, Dale Selthun; and sister-in-law, Bonnie Lee. Friends may greet the family from 3-5:00 PM Sunday, March 26, 2017 at the Medford Funeral Home and one hour prior the funeral mass at the funeral home. Funeral Mass is set for 11:00 AM Monday, March 27, 2017 at Christ the King Church in Medford with interment at Resurrection Cemetery.

Not sure what to say?

I'm so sorry to hear about Lynn's passing away. Lynn and I were very close childhood friends from 4th grade on through high school but after school we both went our seperate ways.. I'm sorry that I didn't keep in better contact with her but life's happening get in the way. I'm so sorry I couldn't attend the services. May God Bless You All. You have my deepest sympathy.
