Wethersfield, Connecticut
Aug 20, 1964 – May 20, 2025 (Age 60)
Manuel Rodriguez, 60, of Hartford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Hartford Hospital. Born on August 20, 1964, in Hartford, he was the beloved son of the late Confesor and Marina (Martinez) Rodriguez. A proud Hartford native, Manuel lived a life full of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to his family. He found joy in the simple things-watching sports, casting a line on a quiet day, bowling with friends, or spending a round on the golf course. He dedicated many years of his life working at both the XL Center and Trinity Health, where his presence was known and appreciated. Manuel was a man of many talents, but his greatest role was that of a grandfather. Becoming a grandfather-twice-was a title he held with immense pride and joy. Known for his sharp wit and infectious laughter, Manuel had the rare ability to brighten every room he entered. His sense of humor was unmatched, and his heart was even bigger-always offering support, guidance, and love to those who needed it. He leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience, survived by his wife Judith Ramos of 30 plus years and devoted children: Raul F. Ramos, Omar Ramos, Manuel Rodriguez, Jr., and Jessica Ramos, all of Hartford. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Liannette Ramos, Omar Ramos Jr., Jaylani Baez, Jaylen Baez, Onyx Ramos; and his beloved great-granddaughter, Al'enna Knight Ramos. Manuel is also survived by his siblings: Alfredo Rodriguez, Angel Rodriguez, David Rodriguez, Miguel Torres, Andrea Nieves, Gladys Aviles, Angelica Rodriguez, Yolanda Rodriguez, and Vanessa Rodriguez, along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Confesor and Marina Rodriguez; his brother, Confesor Rodriguez; and his sister, Maria Rivera. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield, CT. A funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield. Though his time with us was far too short, Manuel's legacy of humor, warmth, and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
