Not sure what to say?

I will always remember Dr Hyde as one of the first teachers I knew who went on to achieve her doctorate. She was a great role model for female students to continue to develop professionally.

Al, the Scout motto is "Be Prepared", I don't know if this is included. But have comfort in her memories and your Scouting family. Celebrate a life well lived. Carlos and Marta Santiago, Cherry Hill, NJ

Marcella Hyde-Smith was a "Lady" in all respects. I worked with her for a number of years as a secretary and she was always a friend as well as a supervisor.

Marcella & John Hyde honored all of us secretaries in the Canton Area School District. They had us to their home for a number of years, after retirement, for a wonderful luncheon.

We have been blessed to know and love this great person. She is at peace.
God Bless.

Warm, gracious, classy, giving and loving are just a few of the words to describe Marcella. We are saddened by her passing, but so happy to have known her. Our thoughts and prayers are with Al and family.

I was one of Mrs. Hyde's 3rd grade students. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and sweet, gentle nature. She gave me a book and signed a short note. I still have that book with my collection of childhood story books.

Marcella's beautiful home was the setting for my solo singing "debut" during a Music Club meeting when I was five years old. That has always been one of my fondest childhood memories. Marcella was a special family friend and colleague, who gifted me with love, joy, support and encouragement. She will be sorely missed, and her reward in Heaven will be great!

Marcella was my Sister-In-Law and she was always very kind to me. I will miss her.

She will always be Mrs. Hyde, my second grade teacher at LeRoy Grade School. That year was enough for her to recognize me for life. She was a great lady and teacher.

"Mrs. Hyde-Smith" (respectfully) and I had a special connection through music...she, the youth choir director and I, the pianist, at the First United Methodist Church in Canton many many years ago. Marcella was a very dear friend and most gracious lady - one I shall truly never forget. My heart is saddened by her passing.
