Not sure what to say?

I was so saddened by the news of her death, given by a Wheelock friend who knew how powerfully she impacted my life. Marcia Folsom was without a doubt the most influential teacher of my life. I was a student in 2 literature courses she taught at Wheelock, where she encouraged my writing and even recommended me for a position on the alumna publication as a sophomore. Although her effort was unsuccessful, it did give me the confidence to transfer to Michigan to study journalism. I still have...

A very warm and classy lady with a beautiful smile. May she rest in peace.

So very sorry to hear of her passing. She was a wonderful professor and role model for so many students at Wheelock. She made such an impact. Wheelock Graduate 97 Masters 98

Marcia had so much grace and joy of life. She was inspiring to me as a professor and friend. Her legacy lives on.

Marcia was one of my beloved professors at Wheelock. She was a gifted teacher and one of the kindest humans I´ve ever known. Her spirit lives on in all her students.

Marcia was one of my favorite professors that I´ll never forget. She was my humanities professor and showed me the beauty and softness of literature and Jane Austen. Thanks for believing in me Marcia.

I attended Wheelock from 1985 to 1989. Marcia was my favorite professor and enjoyed the time I spent with her. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I´ll never forget Marcia or my experience in courses with her at Wheelock. She made an enormous impact on who I am and how I approach teaching today. She was one of a kind.

Marcia was a one-of-a-kind person. I had the privilege of having her as my professor at Wheelock College. She was also my mentor for an independent study on Jane Austen. To this day my love of reading is still strong, and I am forever grateful that Marcia shared her passion of that with me. A great woman who will never be forgotten.
