Not sure what to say?

Also very sorry to learn of this. To a young surgeon, Rita was the epitome of a good nurse and
operating room supervisor. When necessary, which was frequently, she was a no-nonsense manager
adept at dealing with strong, sometimes difficult, personalities under difficult circumstances.
The best interests of the patients having to pass through her doors and support for her staff
were always her first priority and during it all her warmth and humanity were always clear.

Golden girls" at the annual Harvest Festival in search for for corn to watch the third generation ride the rides !

The very first Harvest festival mom made me a walking haystack for a now thankfully removed contest, how mom and dad had time to do all that amidst the constancy of activity I'll never know, but the Harvest Festival was a tradition that mom dearly loved and when she said that week she wasn't sure she'd make it that here... Well it was un thinkable...but having her best friend Rabbit in heaven making plans for celebrations makes me smile !

When Dad left, it was my grandson who broke thru the deepest grief telling me to think how happy poppa "A" was, that he could breathe easy now and had no pain and he would have the best birthday cakeever with Jesus...I have said this a thousand times to myself how happy I am to think you are free of pain and the sorrow of life. I think of how excited to be greeted by Dad, Adam. Go, Nanette and all those who have gone before you and are thrilled to have you , being filled with joy unspeakable...

One of the original "St. Helen's Madame's"... a group of remarkable women, whom I was lucky to have in my life as a child, young adult and adult. Rest In Peace, Mrs. Avril.

Nana was a remarkable, classy, intelligent and simply a woman many looked up to lady. She will be missed but the wonderful memories will continue from generation to generation. Her sweet smile was contagious. How comforting to know she was born on Christs birthday and entered heaven on Thanksgiving Day. I can only image the celebration that is going on in heaven now. My thought and prayers are with all of you.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I remember Rita as one of the first people I met in Vero as a fellow nurse at IRMH. Rest In Peace,Rita

I will never forget Mr. and Mrs. Avril's warmth, generosity and hospitality when they invited me into their home for an extended stay while in college. Celebrating the Christmas holidays with them, I felt just like part of the family.

Lifting the Avril family up in prayer as you celebrate Rita and her life. God Bless.

I completely understand...Continue to stay strong. You will see your loved one again.
