Celebration of life service for Ms. Margaret Johnson, who passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021, will be held Saturday September 11, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at St Joseph Missionary Baptist Church, 5914 S 78th St, Tampa, FL 33619, Pastor Thomas Hayward with Pastor Eugene Johnson of St Annis Primitive Baptist, Eulogist. The interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, Florida.

Margaret Johnson was born January 21, 1942 to the late Jessie Reed and Daisy Henderson McBride. She attended Pine Park elementary and Carter Parramore High School. Margaret was a devoted and active member of New Progress Missionary Baptist Church until her health declined.

Margaret was a very hard worker and dedicated employee of University Community Hospital; where she retired after 34 years of service. Margaret married Eugene Johnson and their love consummated four loving children Reginald, Cheryl, Veronica, and Virgil.

Margaret was preceded in death by her father, Jessie Reed; mother, Daisy Henderson McBride; sisters, Mary Ann Freeney (Louis Freeney); niece, Joyce Bailey and nephew, Jalil Dukes.

She leaves loving memories with her children, Reginald (Debbie), Cheryl (Edward), Veronica, Virgil (Suzette); grandchildren, Cherveronica (2), Vanekea (4), Antonio (2), Valencia (3), Shantana(3), Veundriss (4), Artaveus (2) , Cadedra (3), Valicia, Vaniece (1), Virgi,II (2), Brittany(4), Reginald, Jr., Erica (2), Edward, Jr. (1); 30 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; nieces and nephews, Sherrie, Fran, Pam, Terrell, Chad, Quanda, Jerome, Patricia and a host of family and friends .

There will be a viewing on Friday September 10, 2021 at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. Due to the current CDC restrictions; we are asking that you use the visitation as an opportunity to pay your final respect. For your convenience and safety, we have extended our visitation hours.
