Did Not Know Her Personally, Although Grew Up Watching Her In Several Wonderful Movies, ......Canterville Ghost, Meet Me In St Louis etc, An Exceptional Child , and person all around.....

I consider it an honor of my life to have had her as my most memorable teacher at Yucca Valley Junior High School in the early 1980s. Her invitation to our class to see "South Pacific" at the Joshua Tree Cultural Center -- and her unforgettable role in it as Bloody Mary -- opened a naive 8th grader (me) up to a lifelong love of theatre and the arts. To me, she was an unparalleled creative force, one of those teachers who changed my life -- and thousands of others -- for the better.
