Margaret Seabury Obituary

Margaret Seabury 84, passed away at her home in Brentwood on May 4th. Mrs. Seabury graduated from Lowell H.S. in San Francisco, and received her BA and Masters in Social Welfare at U.C. Berkeley, where she met her husband Jerry. She established her career working for the social services departments of Alameda and Contra Costa counties, as well as California Children's Services and the Easter Seals Society. In retirement "Maggie" kept involved with the Lowell and Cal alumni associations, and in 1986 endowed the Gerald Seabury lecture series at the School of Social Welfare at U.C. Berkeley in honor of her late husband. Mrs. Seabury is survived by her godson Jim Strong, his sister Janet (& Stan) Van Sant, and lifelong friends. Tax deductible memorial contributions may be made to the UC Regents, Seabury Memorial Lecture Fund, School of Social Welfare, UC Berkeley, 120 Haviland Hall #7400, Berkeley, CA 94720.
