The world is a less cheerful place with Dixie gone. I think of her as a bold, vibrant force of nature, one who made a huge impression on me as a kid some 40-plus years ago. She was so wise, and kind, and welcoming, and funny. . . what a great person, a wonderful role model with a wicked wit. Dixie, you are deeply missed.
