BERTRAM RAYMOND ABRAMSON
On July 12, 2014, Bertram R. Abramson, 101, died peacefully at his home in Bethesda, MD. He is survived by his devoted wife of 72 years, Frances Frankel Abramson; his daughter, Barbara Bryce (Barry); his sons, Jeffrey F. Abramson (Janet) and Edward J. Abramson (Ariane DuBois); five loving grandchildren, Marcia Newfield, Laurie Kuntz (Stuart), Michael Abramson (Catherine), Grace Johnston, and Caramai Johnston; and two great grandchildren, Michelle and Ari Kuntz. A Graveside service will be held Wednesday July 16, 2014 at noon at King David Memorial Gardens, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA. Family will receive friends at the late residence immediately following the interment service, as well as Wednesday and Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Jewish Social Service Agency, Rockville, MD. Services Entrusted to Danzansky-Goldberg Memorial Chapels.

My parents ,Leon and Frieda Cohen called Bert and Fran dear friends. I am sending my sympathy to your dear family on behalf of my family. I remember Bert as a very dear sweet man.

My father, Harold Melnicove, loved Bert, he really did. And I think the feeling was mutual. I'm sure it wasn't easy, but Bert went to my father's funeral a year ago. I was so comforted by his presence (and so grateful to his son for bringing him). It was classic Bert: kind, generous, gentle, and respectful. My dad treasured his friendship, as did my brother Gary and I, and immensely enjoyed all the Gin games with Bert and the times with him and Frances. With deepest sympathy, Margo Melnicove

My deepest sympathies to the Abramson family at this time. You well know how fond I was of your dad and mom. They were just special and you should be so proud that you had them for so long. What a marvelous life of a wife of 72 years and wonderful kids and grandhildren. Please give Francis a hug from me and from Kelsey and my best to all of you.
