Maria Trujillo Alfaro

Maria Trujillo Alfaro, 94 of Newman passed away Sunday, June 26th at Brandel Manor in Turlock.

Mrs. Trujillo was born in Linares, Nuevo Leon, Mexico and was a resident in Newman for many years. She enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo, sewing, crafts, and baking. She loved making blankets for her grandchildren and being in charge of making the quinceanera center pieces.

Mrs. Alfaro is survived by her sons, Juan Alfaro of Newman and Francisco Alfaro of Crows Landing; daughter, Adalia Munoz and Rosalinda Arreguin both of Newman; 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ignacio Martinez Alfaro; son, Alvelardo Alfaro; 1 brother and 3 sisters.

A Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm followed by a Rosary at 6:00 pm, Thursday, July 14th at St. Joachim’s Catholic Church in Newman. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, July 15th at St. Joachim’s Catholic Church in Newman. Interment to follow at Hills Ferry Cemetery in Newman.
