Marie Antoinette Barial Bonam was born June 13, 1923, in Pascagoula, Mississippi, the third child of Walter A. and Olivia Barial (ne Collins). She passed peacefully on to her eternal reward on July 27, 2019 at her home in Pascagoula. Spouse of the late Leonelle Anthony Bonam, (Lieut. Col., USAF, Retired), Marie was also preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Walter Joseph "Dub" Barial, M.D. She is survived by her sister Victorine Bonam (Herbert, deceased), brother Francis X. "Bob" Barial, sister-in-law, Sylvia Barial, and her eight children: Leon (Margaret "Cookie," deceased); Anna Bonam Morton (Robert); Patrick, Walter (Jennifer), Monica Snyder (Michael), Peter, Francis, and Gregory (Julie) Bonam. Also left to mourn her passing are five grandchildren: Jessica and Monique Snyder; Amanda, Gabrielle and Garrett Bonam; and two great-grandchildren, Angelique and Gage; nieces and nephews Daniel and Herbert Bonam, Walter, Lauren and Monique Barial, and a host of extended family members and friends. Marie's funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at St. Peter the Apostle Church, 1715 Telephone Rd. in Pascagoula, with visitation from 8:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m., followed by recitation of the Rosary and the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., celebrated by Rev. Joseph Benjamin, S.S.J. Funeral arrangements by Unity Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Moss Point. In lieu of flowers, her children suggest a donation in her memory to one of her favorite charities, Food for the Poor (, or the charity of your choice.
