I did not have the honor of knowing Mrs. Graycar, but her husband Michael was my favorite teacher of all time. He worked hard to challenge me with extra credit problems every day. The one day I didn't do the extra work he asked me if there was some problem or if I had a girlfriend. I hadn't realized until then that this extra work was a special effort to keep me challenged.
