Russell SMITH Obituary

SMITH, Russell F. Peacefully at Port Perry Place on Friday, October 20, 2017 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Helen for 67 years. Loving father of Brian R. (Marilyn) and Cindy Thompson (Rob) and daughter-in-law Janet. Predeceased by son Glenn. Proud grandfather of Jordan, Kevin, Bryan, Sherri, Kerri and the late Derek. Great-grandfather of Elisia, Glenn and Patrick. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West, (905-721-1234), on Monday, October 23rd, from 12:00 noon until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Memorial donations to the Covenant House – Toronto or Hill House Hospice – Richmond Hill would be appreciated.

Sincere condolences to the Smash family. We were neighbors on Merrian Rd in Scarborough for many Years. Russ was a great neighbor and friend to our family I will always remember him and Helen fondly. The Bardgett Family

I only knew Russell briefly when I visit my Husband at Port Perry Place and he was truly a wonderful Gentleman and his Wife Helen is just a real sweetheart they truly had True Love it was so evident. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this sad time.
