Jazz Quartet at Cornell, 1959.. We both loved Stan Getz and Johnny Smith, so "Moonlight In Vermont" was our theme song.

Here's Mario on the bandstand in 1959. He was great to hear and play with! Steve Eichler, piano, me on guitar, Sarge Carlton, drums.

Mario was a wonderful mentor and friend, who taught me about being a good and trusted professional. We never argued. He is missed. He held his love for his kids as so important. My warmest regards to them. Sincerely, Steven Karp

My deepest sympathies on his passing. We we´re fraternity brothers and had a jazz quartet at Cornell. He was a great guy in every respect.

I had the privilege of working as Mario's secretary for over 10 years. I started with him when he was with a large firm and was honored when he asked me to go with him as he ventured out on his own opening his new practice. It saddens me to hear of the passing of a great man but I agree he loved his life with joy and gusto. Mario was and still is my mentor and my shining example of how to be a gentleman first and an advocate second. Mario was my boss when I started as a trial attorney. I was terrified when I was transferred to his unit because by reputation he was the hardest working and most demanding of the partners.
