Rivet Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc. - Merrimack Obituary

Marion L. Anderson of Merrimack, NH went to be with her Lord on November 15th, 2019.  She was the daughter of Dorothy Northrup Payne and David Jacqmein Payne and the last surviving of three sisters, Cathy and Jacque.  She is survived by her loving husband, Paul G. Anderson of Milford, NH, her loving sons, David Anderson of Framingham, MA and Steve Anderson of Merrimack, NH, along with her loving daughter-in-law, Dianne and her three grandsons, Nick, Nate, and Nolan.

Marion was born in Greenport, NY on July 30, 1934, and attended grade schools in Shelter Island, NY, and Media, PA, where she graduated HS in June 1951.  She attended Philadelphia Bible Institute, now Cairn University, and received a diploma in Bible Studies in June of 1956. She was also a long-time resident of East Granby CT and Sudbury MA before moving to Merrimack NH in 2017.

Marion worked as a home maker and had a career as a secretary for several companies as well as at Lexington Christian Academy. In 1987, she became the administrative assistant for the Northeast Baptist Conference, from where she retired after 13 years of service. In her free time, Marion loved to bake chocolate chip cookies and brownies sprinkled with chocolate chips. Both of which will be missed by all of us whom she loved to entertain. She enjoyed music and was often heard humming or singing her favorite hymns. She also enjoyed years of annual vacation trips to Cape Cod, wading in the bay and walking on the tidal flats while watching the kids play.

A private burial will take place in Elmvale Cemetery in Woodstock, CT at the convenience of the family. There will be a Celebration of Life held at a future date at Chapel of the Cross in Westborough, MA.

Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Converge Northeast, 150 Cook Hill Road, Cheshire, CT 06410
