Miss you Marion!

I can't believe she has been gone a year. Miss you Marian.

Marion was a great friend of my mother Rose Caslow. They both belonged to the women's missionary group of Middletown church and went together on many outings. They were both amazing women. I last saw her at Walmart with her walker waiting on the bus. What an independent lady!

I loved Marion. I first met Marion at the Twin Lakes Community Gardens around 4 or 5 years ago, maybe more. I think she was around 93 or 94 then, but she refused to let anyone help her. We would talk and she would tell me about her husband, who died in '79. The last year she gardened up there, I think it was when she stopped driving and couldn't get up there enough, I decided I would weed her garden while she wasn't there. At least I thought it was hers. I ended up weeding the Chinese...

She was wonderful and smart lady. She taught me how to make home-canned jam as hers was definitely the best. Always enjoyed her somewhat sarcastic sense of humor. She was a pip.
