Marites Siervo

I was a colleague at Riverside for ten years, teaching French and Spanish. During that time I heard numerous comments by students that "Ms. Siervo cares about us." She could tell you all about all of them and sometimes it was not all good, but she had a way of searching out and focusing on their best qualities, rather than on the negative. She could tell you about how people in the Philippines felt about national disasters with great sensitivity. She surprised me with her ability to jump up...

I taught with Marites at Riverside Academy. She was such a nice person and dedicated to her profession. She spoke often of her love of family, Gid and her beloved Philippines. Marites was a woman who smiled a lot and brought a positive attitude wherever she went. It was a pleasure working along side her and Riverside is losing a wonderful teacher. My sincere condolences to her family. May Marites rest in Gods love
