Not sure what to say?

I also went to Algonquin with Mark, and while he and I lost touch in the late 90's, I have really great memories of him. He had a great sense of humour, was always available to lend a hand (a certain multi-track recording assignment/nightmare pops to mind), and spending time with him and other radio folks between or after classes.

I can only imagine your loss, but please know my thoughts and prayers are with his whole family. I know that he will be missed.

I was in Mark's class in Radio Broadcasting at Algonquin. Just found out via Don Crockford. Mark was a stellar person. I remember ditching school for a couple of days with him to go see a concert in Toronto, and we had a blast. That said, although Mark knew how to have fun, he had a sound grasp on responsibility, and definitely was seen as a leader by the rest of us. My sincere condolences. Please know that many of us here in Ottawa that lost touch with him so long ago (which tends to...

I just found out yesterday that Mark had passed away. I'm so sorry for your loss. I was one of Mark's teachers in the Radio program at Algonquin College. I remember a very talented student who loved life, could make his classmates laugh when they needed it most and showed such great promise on the air. I have a picture of Mark with several other students in my office. It was about the time we were launching the college radio station. I've looked at it often over the past day. There's Mark,...

Mark & I went to Algonquin together and I would often see him around Ottawa after graduation. He sold me a great shirt when he worked at Neon - just one of the many things I remember about him. He also introduced me to some great Vietnamese food on Somerset St., was the first (and only person) I knew who ever bungee jumped, made me laugh on-air many times and was just an overall great guy. I was so very saddened by the news of your loss. I often wondered what happened to Mark and...

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

To the Allan Family,
Since hearing the sad news about Mark's passing I have been filled mixed emotions and many memories. The YMCA-YWCA leadership days and many funfilled weekends. I know that Mark has probably had a positive impact on many people through his days. My thoughts are with you all!

I knew Mark and Chris in high school and through programs at the Y. I was very saddened to hear of Mark's passing. My deepest sympathies to the entire Allan family.

Leslie, Audrey and Noah,
we are so sorry to hear of your loss. We are with you and your family at this time of sorrow, and are sending you our deepest sympathies.

Too soon gone. My deepest sympathies go out to Mark's family. We grew up together in Carlsbad Springs and eventually lived together in 1994 in Ottawa. Though we did not part on the best of terms, I always considered him a friend. He will be missed.
